Divorce Could Cost “Frasier” Actor Over $50 Million

American came to love Kelsey Grammer for his recognizable roles on the television shows “Cheers” and “Frasier” as Dr. Frasier Crane. His household name came back into the public eye after his wife Camille filed for divorce this past summer. They had been married for thirteen years.

Though the original reason for the split was not mentioned in the article, Grammer is currently engaged to a woman he had been dating after Camille filed for a divorce. But what has been the biggest news lately is the issue of property division: what to do with their multi-million dollar estate.

While the laws for property division can vary from state to state, the state in which Grammer and his soon-to-be ex-wife are filing for divorce holds that assets acquired during the marriage be split equally between spouses, unless the couple signed a prenuptial agreement prior to getting married.

Here, the two did not sign a prenuptial agreement, meaning that their marital assets, estimated to be worth over $100 million, will be divided evenly between them. According to the article, a lot of their fortune was acquired through a team effort between the two, with Camille offering a lot of business and financial advice. Much of the money has come from real estate investments.

There are few details about how much money each couple brought in to the marriage or how much each earned along the way. Regardless, it doesn’t matter now. Camille is set to walk away from the marriage with over $50 million.

That amount of money will likely take away some of the sting as Grammer has asked a judge to speed up the divorce proceedings so that he can marry his girlfriend as soon as possible.
